LGBTIQ+ Elders Dance Club provides space where individuals can be themselves without fear of discrimination, a space where the gender and sexual identity is not only accepted, but celebrated. This project empowers elders to assert their social agency, value and worth within a mainstream and ageist paradigm, encouraging social connection and a place of belonging. LGBTIQ+ Elders Dance Club facilitate the physical, cognitive and emotional benefits of regular creative practice for this marginalised and pioneering generation.
Every month, LGBTIQ+ Elders Dance Club invites Rainbow elders and allies (of all ages) to this fabulous free dance event that celebrates intergenerational inclusivity!
